History of Media begins from a deliberately ordinary thought: information is food for our brains. The project asks how the forms through which information arrives alter what and how we receive.

Final work
The final installation gathers media objects and images across a fabric field. Rather than presenting a clean chronology, it lets technologies from different moments coexist, as they already do in everyday life.
Process
The work was developed by collecting images of devices, transmission systems and popular visual forms, then testing how their differing scales could be held together in fabric. Arrangement and overlap are part of the work’s meaning, not merely display decisions.
Research
The project considers media history as an information environment: a condition in which images arrive through different places, speeds and material supports. The research remains a prompt for the installation rather than a claim to offer a comprehensive history of media.
